I have come a long way. I left a country where I cannot live safely. My exile is not an escape; it is a combat strategy.
You see me as light and delicate in the spotlight and on red carpets. In reality, I'm fighting against the obscurantism of a society that exists only to suffocate women under the black veil of patriarchy. Like all women born into this misogynistic and aggressive environment, when you look at me more closely, I have the skin of a rhinoceros. Because our struggle is a daily one against a deprivation of freedom acquired from birth.
I am not the flag bearer of this fight, I am the flag.
